Are there minimums for orders?
There is a one dozen minimum per flavour/treat for all menu items, excluding cakes and pies.

What can be customised?
Almost anything can be customised. You can choose frosting colours, toppers, wrapper colours, flavours, and more. We can discuss all of your options and we will make sure that you get all of the customisations that meet your needs.

How much time in advance is required for orders/cakes?
A minimum of 72 hours is required for all dessert/pastry orders, however we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate your order in that time frame. For extremely detailed custom orders and cakes, we highly recommend a lead time of at least 2 weeks, but we require 1 week’s notice for cakes; keep in mind that the more time you give us, the better.

Is there a deposit required for orders/cakes?
Full payment is required for orders $50 and under, and is due when the order is placed. A 35% deposit is due for orders $50 and over, which is due when the order is placed. The full payment will be due 2 weeks before the delivery date. Of course, you are more than welcome to pay in full when the order is placed.  We accept cash, cheque, and credit card payments through PayPal, over the phone, or in our shop. All cheques can be made out to “The French Confection Co.”

I just found out that I need to provide treats for an event/party that is tomorrow; can I still place a order?
We do require a minimum advanced notice of 72 hours for all orders, but sometimes, unexpected plans pop up, and we do understand that. If you are in desperate need of an order, we may be able to accommodate your needs, depending on the size of the order and the customisations involved. A $10 rush fee will be incurred on small orders ($50 and under), a $25 rush fee will be incurred on orders over $50, and a $50 rush fee will be incurred on orders over $50, in addition to delivery costs, if applicable. Full payment will be required at the time the order is placed, and the minimums still apply.

Do you deliver?
Yes! Delivery is free within the 91505 zip code. Anything outside of that ranges from $10-$200 and is based on the distance to the final destination. Give us a call or send us an email to get a quote. All deliveries must have someone present to accept. Deliveries will not be left unattended. If no one is there to accept the delivery, it will be brought back to the shop and additional delivery fees may apply.

At this time, we can only ship a LIMITED selection of our menu. Please contact us for shipping quotes and for more information about what items on our menu are shippable.

What is The French Confection Co.’s signature frosting?
We use a European style of buttercream instead of the traditional American sweet buttercream. Our frosting is called Swiss Meringue Buttercream, which is a meringue based buttercream that is very light and fluffy, and not too sweet. We also offer a more traditional cream cheese frosting, a whipped chocolate ganache frosting, and a dark chocolate fudge frosting as well.

How soon should I eat my treats? Do they last long?
Since we bake from scratch, we use no preservatives or other artificial ingredients. Therefore, we recommend enjoying your treats as soon as possible, or within 24 hours of receiving them. If you’d like to save your treats for longer than 24 hours, we suggest putting your treats in an airtight container and put them in the freezer. The freezer helps to preserve the freshness. To thaw, simply place on a countertop/table and let come back to room temperature, and enjoy!

Do you bake from scratch?
Yes! We are proud to bake from scratch; everything is made fresh to order as well. We don’t use any type of mix or premade anything. We only use the finest quality ingredients to give you the best tasting baked treat you’ve ever had.
